considering they weigh about the same, I think Le Mars would be a better option.....

I was about to say e90 M3? and then I saw username. I've grown to love that carbon leather trim. Hate wood.

I wasn’t big on it when I got the car, but I’ve come to like it. I think every e90/e92 I test drove had this trim.

My thoughts exactly! I thought it was so silly at first, but it turned out to be pretty non-distracting and visually pleasing the more I drove it.

Yeah, E93. Forgive me for the convertible part, it was a compromise with my wife . But I say win-win, especially since it’s her DD!

That’s really not a bad compromise, plus you can hear the engine better with the top down. Also sounds like your wife is pretty awesome. Hey, I learned stick on a drop top V10 M6 (rich friends are awesome), that thing sounded amazing with the top down, guessing by your picture, you drive an E60 M5?

You're so right about the noise with the top down. I don't drive it around town much but I'll admit I drop the top when out on back roads! Yeah, funny story, we had a baby and the car seat wouldn't fit in the back of the M3 so I got the M5 to replace it. But my wife loves the M3 so much that she didn't want to give it up!

So you’ve got 2 M cars? One of the reasons I went for the sedan was because 2 car seats do fit in the back, when that eventually happens, and I got a 1 series to replace my explorer as my second car, cause it’s even less practical then my M3.

Yeah, and an XTerra for whenever we need 4wd. But we DD the Ms. We’re both 6'+ and have a bulky car seat so we just didn't all fit. Should've test fit the car seat, but this outcome isn't terrible either!

And re: “when that happens,” best wishes. Being a dad is amazing and I’d have no qualms driving a minivan or anything more practical if I had to. But so far, I don’t have to! The V10 rumble lulls my little guy (and wife) right to sleep on road trips.
